Our New Edition to the Witzel Family

I'd like to introduce our newest edition to our family......the kids named her Peanut! (But, I think she looks more like a Suzie!) Anyway, I want to thank the O'Sullivan family for letting us adopt her. My kids love her so much and are having a ton of fun with her. As you can see, she already has her own transportation. She wanted to get a school bus so she'd have room for all of her friends! :) Anyway, we love her! Guinea Pigs are much mellower than I imagined. Every kid should have one

ShineForHim.com

I just signed on to be part of a really cool project I heard about from a WPPI speaker, Suzette Allen. I cut & pasted information below about the project. Please tell anyone you know between the ages between 7 and 21 about it. It looks like I'm the first one in Las Vegas to sign on, so that's awesome! We get to be the start of something really amazing!

Here's the information:

What is the SFH Project? As an answer to the widespread hopelessness of today’s youth, the SFH Project offers words of encouragement and testimonies of hope from other young people in their own words. Testimonies of their own experiences or tragedies, to give others a glimmer of hope, a reason to live, an answer to the question ‘Why am I here and what is my purpose for living?” We all hunger and thirst for truth. The youth of today are looking for genuine experiences, not religious traditions.

In addition, we all have a need to help others and share in our journey—finding a purpose for our lives. The SFH Project gives an opportunity for young people who ARE finding answers, who DO possess hope for the future and HAVE a purpose for their life, to SHARE their experiences with others and encourage one another! It also offers professional photographers a fresh way to use their talents to honor God and encourage others through a unique and creative medium.
The Medium: Photographic Portraiture and Art, in addition to the world wide web.The Message: Hope, Encouragement and Faith

The Messengers: Young people who have hope and photographers who desire to use their God-given talents to honor God, uplift their fellow man, and give young people a vehicle to express their faith.

The Means: The world wide web and photographers’ giving of time and talent.

The Method: Young People are photographed, and their message of hope is digitally expressed in the image* (*see Gallery for samples). They are given 24 wallet-sized photos to share with friends and family. In addition, they write out their personal testimony to be posted along with their portrait, on the website.

How to Be a Part of the Shine For Him Project:If you are a young person age 7-21, you may be photographed for the site and give your testimony to share with others. The portrait session may or may not be free, depending on the season and the photographer’s policy. The Graphic design or message or scripture in your image is free. The 24 wallet images are free and the web posting is free. You will be required to submit your testimony in written form either on paper or by e-mail, and have you or your parents sign a model release. (parents sign if you are under 18 years of age.) Your first name, age and state you live in will be listed with your image, along with the year photographed and the name of the photographer.
The 24 wallets are great to give to your friends and family, often stirring up good conversations about your message and sometimes an opportunity to share your faith. A small sticker on the back of each wallet photo will tell them to go to www.ShineForHim.com to see more images and read your testimony.

Joe & Sandi Kelber Wedding

Joe & Sandi are two of the nicest people I have ever met. It was surely in God's plans to have these two wonderful people spend the rest of their lives together! We snuck over to the JW Marriott before the ceremony for a gorgeous photo shoot. The JW Marriott is one of the most beautiful places in Las Vegas to photograph a wedding party. I tell you, everything was in God's hands that day, we had the most perfect weather!

Joe & Sandi Kelber

We then drove down to Messiah's Christian Fellowship on S. Durango for the ceremony. The pastor did great job! I didn't even find out until after the ceremony that it was his 1st wedding. What a natural! There was tons of great food and lots of wonderful fellowship!

Congrats Joe & Sandi! May you have many, many blessings and a wonderful marriage!

Another Cute Portrait of Miriam

Had to share how cute another one of Miriam's pic turned out. Don't anybody tell her mom 'cause we are going to print a nice big one for Mother's day. Hopefully, I can be there to see the tear in her eye. ;)

Agassi Boy's Varsity Basketball Team

Not sure why the team decided to wear their school uniforms for the team picture, but I at least wanted to have ONE guy in their uniform holding the ball so the public could identify them somehow. Guess their team was smokin' hot this year! Good job guys! Got some great shots of them doing some slam dunks too! It was fun!

That's Coach West in the upper right! He ROCKS! This team picture was one of the "bad boys" shots!

Cutie pie Stewart

Did a quick photo shoot for Stewart for his baptism announcement and thought I'd post a couple of my favorites. He's such a cutie pie! He's sure to be a lady killer when he grows up...and successful too! You can just see it in his expressions. Thanks for being such a great model!

Miriam - My adorable new Intern

So, I have a new intern from a local high school. She wants to be a photographer some day and gets high school credit to work with me once a week. She's great! I'm very lucky to have her around for a semester. Thought I'd post a picture she let me take of her on my first offical blog post.

Okay, NOW I will try this "blogging" thing out

Wish me luck everyone! I really want to get into "blogging"....because I'm a hip chick, right?
